hey guys, can any of you with flat feet tell me your thoughts on Vans shoes? what’s working for you? and what model is the best?
also, can you tell me which models got wide options on the toes? (like 2B width)…
Take your time and create something ill.
I wear insoles in all of my vans!
ComfyCush or the Skate line Vans are all I can wear these days. I have flat feet, no super wide, but not narrow either. Regular Vans destroy my feet and leave them aching within an hour of wearing/walking in them.
I don’t think any of them would be ideal for flat fleet. Do you not have orthotics or a comfy insole you can add? I think I have a low arch and my feet ache if I wear Vans all day.
Not sure what a 2B width is? A wide is a D upwards in my country. Anyway, my feet are wide at the toe area and Vans definitely work better for me than Converse and Nike, but Vans still aren’t particularly wide. They do sell some of their classic models in wide fit, so I’d recommend trying those if your feet are pretty wide. I guess you might also need to go up a half size depending on your foot shape.
Im flat foot and it took me a while but I swear my feet just became stronger because nothing is comfier than vans shoes to me… I wear them all day as a teacher and my feet are never tired anymore.
The pro skate/bmx or MTE2 sk8 hi are all I wear and I’m flat-footed with narrower feet. I also have orthotics but fitting them in Van’s can be problematic if they already have a removable insole. I’ve had the best luck fitting them with the MTE2.
I rarely wear my orthotics anymore because the Van’s I buy are so comfortable. Best for me do far, the 114 BMX are tough and the outsole has give along with the insole. They fit like normal shoes. MTE2 sk8 hi has an even softer insole and the outer sole is somewhat bouncy. They are a bit like wearing light boots.
