Sambas are more the successor to the killshot craze. We meme’d it for years and now TikTok has finally found a Killshot alternative.

Had multiple pairs of Samba Super and Super Suede back in ye olde days of the 1900 and 90s. Now have 1 pair of Fox Bros Sambas and they are veeeery nice.

I love how everybody has run out of ideas and/or creativity and they’re just pumping out old shoes in different colors. NB can’t even make a decent new 990 (v6 is garbage) so they have to rerelease the old ones in lame ass Easter egg colors. Adidas has been doing this forever with their originals. It’s crazy to me that sambas are $100 now. They were like $50-60 back in the day. I’m willing to pay extra for new technology and comfort, not because something is trendy.

when I was in high school that was the shoe of choice. soccer players, football players, basketball players, lacrosse players all wore em. it’s a timeless silhouette, it’s comfortable and they adopted nikes method of pumping out multiple colors so everyone can have something. I been thinking about copping a couple pairs myself lol

I don’t understand the Samba hype. But everything goes through cycles. It’ll eventually come back to Jordan 1s and Dunks once people think it’s the hipster thing to do again. I’ll keep rocking my Dunks.
