This is probably not the right place for this question but here goes.

Anyone stop wearing foundation? I’m considering it.

I’m 62, my skin looks good to me, sure texture lines age spots so what. I like the look of my skin with just a serum sunscreen and some moisturizer. I don’t have dark under eye to cover up, and my skin in even toned. I’ve added a Vit C serum and really like how it has brightened up my skin as well.

I’m not liking the way foundation looks on my skin any more, including skin tints. I’ve been matched a few times in the last year, tried a few different price points, at the moment all I own is Mac Face and Body radiant - I do use it when I feel I really need to look like I made an effort. Many high priced samples got tossed out too thick, cake face, or nothing there why bother for the water tints except my face felt sticky ick!

So today added blush, eyebrows and mascara done. I know this doesn’t sell product so no company is going to agree with me. I think it’s enough, saves my wallet and I just don’t get the slathering on make up to cover good skin to then have to add products to get color contour etc.

I am 43 and once I hit my 40s, I started hating how foundation looked on me. I’ve started wearing tinted moisturizer, and then using a very creamy concealer to spot treat and I blend it out with a fluffy brush. It looks much more natural than trying to wear a mask of make up.

My mom is in her 50s and never wears foundation. Usually just brows, eyeliner, light mascara, and natural lipstick. Sometimes a little concealer if she’s going out. She looks good with that makeup; don’t be afraid to go without foundation! I think with aging skin less is often more

53 and only wear light foundation on rare occasions. My skin looks pretty good so I just roll with it. My daily make up is red lipstick (my signature), brows, and curled lashes. Mascara if I’m feeling fancy.

Same. My skin is even toned and just doesn’t need it. I wear SPF and translucent powder.

I think if your skin doesn’t have anything to cover or need it then it makes you look strange. I think I look strange with it anyways.

I shifted to tinted moisturizer or the Chanel Water Fresh, which is close to sheer. I have severe redness and I need to tone it down.

47 and I won’t wear it in the summer. It just slides off and feels gross putting it on. I wear a tinted moisturizer most days otherwise, with some work appropriate eye makeup, and tinted lip balm. Easy and few steps is my go to.

I work in cosmetics, and I don’t use foundation unless I am having a bad skin day. There are no rules for makeup, so what makes you feel your best!

55 and I don’t wear foundation or powder. I use a little Glossier Stretch Concealer to cover the few imperfections I have. I upped my skincare routine the last few years and always had good skin, though. I never liked the feeling of foundation on my face.

45 here. I typically don’t wear any because I haven’t found one that feels comfortable. At this point I’ve gotten used to how my natural skin looks and just prefer going without foundation while wearing the rest of my makeup (blush, eyeshadow, lip product).

58 and I don’t wear foundation all the time. My skin is evenly toned and I take very good care of it so I don’t really need foundation. I only use it on special occasions.

I normally don’t. Had to go find some foundation for big events but otherwise I won’t. However if I want to be a bit more put together but not full face I use concealer only.
