This is me with the Uoma Beauty say what! foundation. I have the lightest shade out of 51 and it’s still too dark for me. I’m not even truly pale, just light.

I think there’s way more content now, which is great because we have more diverse YouTubers (skin color, climate, preferences, etc). I watch multiple makeup videos everyday, and that’s just from who I’m subscribed to.
However, the big beauty YouTubers like Tati and JenLoves have partially moved away from beauty content and/or are not as popular anymore. Beauty YouTubers aren’t really the top YouTubers anymore, so in that way the “era” is over I guess?
But I much prefer it this way. It used to feel repetitive and cliquey to me and I’d often run out of content. Now I happily watch a broad cast of engaging people with different perspectives.
My mom is in her 50s and never wears foundation. Usually just brows, eyeliner, light mascara, and natural lipstick. Sometimes a little concealer if she’s going out. She looks good with that makeup; don’t be afraid to go without foundation! I think with aging skin less is often more
Probably a pale person specific thing but when swatches and packaging and everything matches when a base product is freshly put on, not it’s color once it oxidizes. I’ve bought too many foundations and concealers that I matched correctly if it just didn’t oxidize! Then suddenly it’s orange. I usually use online swatches when choosing a shade, and it’s impossible to know which products will noticeably oxidize and which won’t. So I wish they just did more accurate swatches in that way
Hell yeah; I just finished a 5 year old foundation!
Expiration date just means it’s not protected anymore, not that’s it’s inherently contaminated. I keep all my makeup and am just careful to look for signs it’s gone bad before using it, I don’t care about the expiration date
