When brands boast about having a wide shade range, but in reality they sell 50 shades of tan and maybe a few shades for people with fairer and darker skins. People with really fair or really dark skin though? They’ve never even heard of us. I’m the color of Casper the friendly ghost so you’d think finding my shade was easy, but when your skin is like white-white the options you have are limited. For some reason most makeup brands don’t know how to make GOOD really fair shades. The shades are always either too orange, or gray/ashy, or the undertones are just completely wrong and won’t match literally anyone.

I agree. I’m very, very fair with cool undertones and very dry skin. Most foundations I’ve tried just sit on top of my skin and flake because of how dry my skin is, plus they don’t even match. The closest I’ve found is the Nars tinted moisturizer, shade 0. It is still too dark/yellow for me, but it at least sits well on my dry skin.

This is me with the Uoma Beauty say what! foundation. I have the lightest shade out of 51 and it’s still too dark for me. I’m not even truly pale, just light.
