Also, any recs for good eyeshadow palettes that are not incredibly expensive?
I can’t remember if we’re allowed to link YouTube videos here, but “Glam Girl Gabi” has a GREAT video explaining this and how to use each one. The video is called, “STOP using the WRONG Makeup Brush”.
in terms of eyeshadow palettes, i am personally fond of asian brands and thus can’t help with western brands (sorry)
for simple looks, the romand quads are super nice and not too expensive. i experience limited fall out on the glitters and imo the mattes are super smooth! (i think i posted a longer comment before on my eyeshadow collection? though depending on where you are, some of the palettes may be priced differently compared to me :v)
Real techniques or Zoeva are both great
ELF has great starter pack for blending brushes. So affordable but great for simple, beginner looks. This will allow you to decide what brushes you like using most as you figure out what eye look you love to wear. Then as time goes on you can invest in some more higher end brushes. ELF has great colors and really great priced eyeshadow palettes too.
I thought those brushes were awful ngl, recently had to return them
real techniques are great! such great brushes for a great price.
If it’s for a simple look I recommend eyeshadow sticks. They’re easy to apply and blend.
A good fluffy round eyeshadow blender brush and a pencil brush. You can use your fingers for metallics and shimmers on the lid, it works better than most brushes out there.
That’s true. Agreed blending brushes are so important. If you think you’ve blended enough, keep going lol. Nothing worse than harsh lines
