I havnt worn makeup in years. I have no idea what shade of foundation to buy and what brand should I buy? Any and all advice is appreciated. I was thinking of getting foundation at Walgreens or I could order some online. How do I know what shade to get? Please help.
Honestly, it may sound old school but I would just go somewhere like a clinique counter. Maybe do it when they have a free gift going on. Their foundation seems to really blend well into my skin, and they can tell you which ones have different levels of coverage and different finishes such as matte or dewey.
Go to Ulta, find a salesperson, and ask for help finding the right product and shade for you. They carry a broad range of brands at all price points – think everything from Chanel cosmetics to Elf or Maybelline, so you’ll have plenty of options. If you’re unsure which to buy, ask for a few samples to test at home. Or, you can always return the product it if you end up hating it.
Also, let them know you’re a beginner and need tips on application technique – their staff is generally super helpful and happy to assist.
