Vans would easily get more hype if they UNVAULTED all their vault sneakers, as the majority of those are the only good looking vans designs. They brought back the knu skools after imran, and they pretty much copy the color schemes of JJJJound and notre collabs for their newer style 36 releases. Why not just unvault the cool vaulted designs. It’s not like vans vault even exists anymore, there is no reason for the vaulted designs to stay vaulted. Vault designs have the most experimental and “different” designs and are relatively cheap which would actually make people buy more vans. Imagine you walk into a vans retail store and see skeleton stripe magic tapes, lows and highs with the back zipper, both seasons of Notres, all JJJJounds, FOGs, etc.
I will help to put back money into vans if they bring back the Berle pro model.

Yep, they saw the hype for the black white and navy knu skools and now they’re pumping out new color ways and variants every fucking week, so many mid ass silhouettes coming out that are almost immediately going on sale because no one’s buying them

Their clothes, color ways and even collabs have been so mid lately. Walking into a Vans store feels like H&M or Zara now, when it used to be like West49 and Zumiez! They also used to have god-tier hoodies, but they feel so cheap and thin now. Other than the annual Authentics I buy, my spending with the brand has dropped considerably since Pre-Covid. They need to find their identity again and stop relying on lazy, ‘trendy’ designs that just act as glorified landfill fodder.
The fact that the standard isn’t some form of the cush soles drives me nuts. I’ll see a new shoe that hits but then it’s the standard sole and I’m just like why. WHY
The knu skool was honestly the worst made design we’ve ever come out with and that’s coming from someone who’s favorite style is the half cab, I love the chunky style but the knu skool is so ugly. And then to make it a mid? Let’s not even talk about how much space they take up in the racks or how much shifting we have to do to make space for the pos style that they refuse to consolidate already 😑
