In a post from a few days ago, I noticed that someone mentioned that they were afraid to post about their dislike of the Tudor BB58 for fear of downvoting. You know what? The BB is a boring watch that’s not worth the money, and Tudor wouldn’t be half as popular as it is without the connection to Rolex. If Rolexes were as attainable as they were in past years, cut that by a factor of 10. Would you really buy a BB if the reality were that you could just save a little bit more and get a Rolex Submariner? That’s my hot take. What’s yours?
The whole “wear it above your wrist bone” thing.
No. I have meaty arms. You can’t see my wrist bone. My wrist bone doesn’t protrude out of my arms like 99% of the skinny dudes who post their watches here. It’s much more comfortable for me to put the watch against the hand. It doesn’t move, feels more comfortable. When I tried wearing it where all the skinny dudes wear it, it felt awful, I couldn’t keep it from sliding down without over-tightening it, the whole thing just seemed wrong.
You wear your watch the way you like and I’ll keep wearing it how I like.
I know I talked smack about Tudor, but you would probably really like the bracelet on the Pelagos. I am a bigger guy also, and it felt so amazing to wear. You would notice the difference in how comfortable it is to not have the watch against your hand.
