I have never gotten into wearing lip products (or really anything on my lips aside from regular Burt’s bees chapstick). I don’t know why but I just feel so uncomfortable and garish whenever I have any lip stuff on….I think maybe part of it is a texture thing for me? Like, glosses are super sticky and don’t stay on, matte or long lasting lipsticks crack and dry my lips out….I wear a full face everyday but just can’t take the plunge on committing to lip stuff. If I put it on, I wipe it off within 10 minutes.

What do other people consider a daily essential that you just can’t abide? Why do you think that is?

PS do any of you think it’s crazy to imagine full glam minus colored lips? Am I crazy?

    Primer. I’ve tried many different kinds and it makes my foundation look worse, or ruins it completely, and my makeup will slide off after a couple hours. I just use moisturizer before putting on makeup.

      Same!!!
      I’ve tried so many primers, but they never work. I use a hyaluronic serum as a moisturizer before makeup, and it holds my foundation much better! Add on setting powder and setting spray, and it basically doesn’t budge!

      Primers are 100% a scam. They’re only made for the people who don’t actually know how to prep their skin with skincare.

        The only primer I like is eyeshadow primer. For some reason I have oil eyelids a d without eyeshadow primer my eyeliner melts off.

          Yeah, eyeshadow primer is legit. I’m a makeup artist and mannnyyyy other very famous makeup artists also think face primer is a scam. If you look at a makeup artists kit, they maybe have 1 primer for very oily skin and the rest is skincare.
