I have never gotten into wearing lip products (or really anything on my lips aside from regular Burt’s bees chapstick). I don’t know why but I just feel so uncomfortable and garish whenever I have any lip stuff on….I think maybe part of it is a texture thing for me? Like, glosses are super sticky and don’t stay on, matte or long lasting lipsticks crack and dry my lips out….I wear a full face everyday but just can’t take the plunge on committing to lip stuff. If I put it on, I wipe it off within 10 minutes.

What do other people consider a daily essential that you just can’t abide? Why do you think that is?

PS do any of you think it’s crazy to imagine full glam minus colored lips? Am I crazy?

Anything on my waterline. Shudder. (I have highly sensitive and dry eyes.). I honestly am surprised at how many people do use eyeliner on their waterline. I recognize that it’s been done for thousands of years and can look beautiful, but it’s rare (at least that I’ve seen) that anyone at least in the online beauty space talks about also having eye sensitivities. For similar reasons I would never use false lashes.

I also never use foundation- at most bb cream.

Raises hand I also cannot put anything on my waterline. I’ve tried so many different products and nothing sticks, let alone doesn’t irritate me.

Yep, I have chronic dry eye so the waterline is an absolute no-go. I’m also super careful about my lashes - no extensions or serums etc. Sometimes I wish I could, but it’s really not worth further irritating my eyes.

My eyes water when I use liner on my upper lash line. Middle and outer corner is ok, but inner corner has a 50% chance of making my eye water and feathering the line, ruining my eyeshadow.

A lot of moisturizers also make my eyes water, even if I’m careful not to put it anywhere around my eyes.

I got the Neutrogena hydroboost serum for free, and I liked it, so I bought the rest of the product line. Made my eyes water horribly, all day. Now I can only use it on my neck and chest. Oh well.

My eyes are just like me, great big sensitive crybabies 🤣

I have sensitive eyes and issues with the meibomian glands always becoming blocked but I can’t give up my waterline eyeliner 😓

I wore contacts for decades, and any liner on my waterline would end up on my lenses so I never got into the habit.

I don’t like the idea of makeup getting into my vitreous fluids if I can help it, and TBH it kind of icks me out on other people, but I’m traumatized by memories of the 80s when ladies otherwise into the natural look would apply chalky white liner on the waterline to “make their eyes look bigger.”

My eyes are sensitive to all makeup except Maybelline for some reason. I get a wild hair to try something new, and I always regret it. I can’t use anything on my waterline though, no matter what it is. Eyeshadow also bothers my eyes, I just don’t use it.

Waterline eyeliner always baffled me because I have so many hair follicles in the way. I kept trying and trying to get a nice neat line. After literally decades I learned I have some kind of eyelash mutation and finally gave up.

Have you through of trying color street or dashing diva nail strips? They give a professional look and are easy to put on. That’s what I use

I’ve tried both brands and they have never looked good in my opinion- the only strips I’ve liked are actual nail polish strips (but for some reason they’re hard to find).
