Back in the 90s the brand matrix(the hair product people), had a make up line. The company discontinued the make up line in the early 2000s, but in the 90s they had some amazing nude lipsticks that I lived by when I was a teenager. I have tried in vein to find these products on eBay but literally nobody has barely heard of them much less selling old product.

On that note, I remember Olay briefly had some makeup products (not CoverGirl with Olay, but actually Olay branded lipsticks, etc.). The 90s/early 00s had some interesting lines.

I have some of their travel mini eyeshadow palettes and god the quality is so darn good, I rarely ever see them mentioned. I don’t understand why they won’t go mainstream with a good variety of eyeshadow palettes and market them strategically, when their quality is so great !

I might have one of these lying around. I might’ve given it away, but I’ll let you know if I find it!

I stockpiled the Cafe lipstick back in the day when they were closing down. I really miss it.

The whole brand was just brilliant. The Magic Powder was gimmicky but lovely, and I still wear Calyx sometimes (Clinique resurrected the formula).

Becca foundation, I have very picky, dry, sensitive, acne prone, textured skin and that foundation looked gorgeous, had ultra full cover and was my best friend for years 😞

Maybelline Color Tattoo shadows; the Revlon shadows are pretty close but I loved how Maybelline did such pigmented mattes in such unusual shades - they truly never budged on my eyes.

I remember I swatched a navy blue shade on my hand several years ago and it took vigorous scrubbing and 3 business days to come off. Tattoo was an accurate name.

I had a blue one that I used as eyeliner. They were really smooth, almost buttery and made for great eyeliner. I bet a black one would have been good for a daily look, but the only black one I saw was mixed with silver and wouldn’t have looked good on me.

this was my favorite foundation ever and had my only perfect shade matches for when i’m a bit tan.

i know they have the same shades in their matte foundation and i could just mix with oil or something but i’ve owned that and the formula is so thick it constantly clogs the pump. if u go a period without using it it’ll be like cement in there.
