Have to damage? We’ve had people come in to exchange pairs with minor imperfections & we just put them back with the rest of the shoes. Most people aren’t this picky to notice or care lol.

If it bothers you too much you should. I have a pair where the stitches are sideways and the rubber is cinched into a > near the toe. I wore them out thinking it’s not that deep it won’t bother me. Still wish I exchanged them
