Has anyone else had this experience? I’m a total makeup lover and I thought that once I had the opportunity to wear makeup everyday I would really enjoy it. Previously I’ve had to get up too early and a job that doesn’t really fit the vibe. Now I have the opportunity to wear it every day and I realizes I don’t like it. Makeup is my hobby and it feels like I’m not doing it for me anymore if I do it everyday. I’m kind of surprised by this honestly. I tried it for a bit but just felt very unlike myself. I love the idea of wearing makeup all the time but I think it’s just not my thing. Guess I’ll always be a evenings out and weekends makeup kind of girl.

Eh, I could take it or leave it. I went for a while in my 20s unable to leave the house without makeup on. I’ve also gone years with no makeup except for super special occasions, and it was quite freeing to feel that comfortable in my own skin.

Now I’m back to wearing it daily, but it’s because I WANT to. However I have come to accept the fact that “makeup looks” just don’t work on me. It all disappears (really hooded eyes, low brows, glasses, and oily skin) so I pretty much stick to concealer under eyes, mascara and maybe eyeliner (like a few times a month), eyebrow pencil, and a lip color. The lip color is where I express my moods 😁 I may pull out the smokey winged shadow on date night if I feel like it 😉

I saw a Smitha video where she shows how put together you can look with zero makeup except a strong lipstick, and it really inspired me.
