It seems I very recently started having reactions (itching / burning / watery eyes) to my usual makeup. I also developed an allergy to the glue used for eyelash extensions. I don’t have any experience with hypoallergenic makeup so I’m hoping someone can recommend some brands or products that hold up well for everyday wear!
The term hypoallergenic means very little. It just means the product is free from the most common allergens. You would be best trying to figure out which ingredient is causing a problem. My initial guess would be something that ISN’T a common allergen- aloe. If your glue is latex, it’s not uncommon to also have issues with aloe and it’s a typical ingredient in cosmetics and skincare. You could try allergy testing or do some DIY testing using your inner arm or back of the ear to see if that triggers a skin reactions. Do not do this if you think the allergy is more serious than skin irritation.
