I considered a vanity but I’m most comfortable doing my makeup while sitting on my bed with a handheld mirror. I have the majority of my products in drawers and pick a makeup basket every week or two for what I want to use. It helps me rotate my products, avoids decision fatigue and keeps me efficient as I don’t have to spend time choosing.

Demonicsmurfette@alien.topBtoMakeup•Makeup or foundations that claim to change to match your skin tone?English1·2 years agoI’ll put it nicely. They are a bunch of old bollocks.
They are usually sheer, so capable of matching a wider variety of tones without looking too terrible and usually are light to medium to fit a wide amount of people (although still not a perfect match). They have encapsulated colour pigments that release as they are warmed so they usually get more orange as the day goes on. They’ve been around for decades and the technology hasn’t changed, even when touted as anew amazing product.
If you fit the light-medium orange/warm spectrum you might get on with them. Otherwise get a product that actually matches.

It’s what I was taught in SFX class and it hasn’t failed yet. Be very VERY careful around the eyes if you need to use it there.
Demonicsmurfette@alien.topBtoMakeup•my eyes turned red after i used my black eyeshadow, usually this doesnt happenEnglish1·2 years agoYou don’t mention your eyes feeling sore or itchy. It could just be staining. Put a swatch on your inner arm and see if you get a reaction or if it is a stain. Safer than experimenting around the eye
The term hypoallergenic means very little. It just means the product is free from the most common allergens. You would be best trying to figure out which ingredient is causing a problem. My initial guess would be something that ISN’T a common allergen- aloe. If your glue is latex, it’s not uncommon to also have issues with aloe and it’s a typical ingredient in cosmetics and skincare. You could try allergy testing or do some DIY testing using your inner arm or back of the ear to see if that triggers a skin reactions. Do not do this if you think the allergy is more serious than skin irritation.
