In less than two years I have sent three different items to Stock-X that failed verification.

March 2022: Jordan x Off-white Hoodie - Failed verification because they claimed it had a blue spot on the sweatshirt. Thing is, it was completely sealed in original packaging when I sent it in. There were no markings of any kind that were noticeable, and there were no holes or imperfections in the plastic. When I received the failed item, there was a hole in the bag right where there was a blue ink dot. It was pretty obvious that the evaluator (or shipping/receiving) poked a hole in the plastic with a pen and it left a mark.

Oh well, I learned the hard way to take pictures of everything before shipping. Lesson learned (and lots of money lost).

November 2022: Rocky x Kith Black Hoodie - Failed verification because Stock-x claimed that the item was dirty and had hair “all over it”. Because of the experience above, I took picture in advance of shipping. No hair, no dirt in any way. Item was absolutely DS. I still have it here today, and it has never been worn, still has all original tags, and no markings in any way. At least I can still sell this item, fortunately they did not ruin this one.

Super frustrating, and the experience kept me from using StockX again for a year, but then I decided to give them another try as I have a ton of shoes that I wanted to move quickly. Then…

November 2023: Jordan 1 Mid Barcelona Sweater - Failed verification because Stock-x claimed that the item was not DS, that there was discoloration “between the sole”. So, again I had taken complete pictures of everything, which shows zero discoloration. This time I not only had to pay for return shipping, they charged me a penalty fee for sending in three items that failed verification.

Even with the pictures and documentation, Support was no help at all.

I would delete my account, but apparently that can only be done by support… ugh. What an awful support experience.

People need to realize that no authentication service is actually good. They just do quick look overs, no one actually takes the time to compare the defects to rep batches like one would expect. Always authenticate after receiving as well.
