^^ pretty much in the title. I feel like a lot of shoes I find that I think look good (dunks, air maxes, jordans, air forces, etc.)are pretty bad running shoes (I’m not a serious runner, but I run 5Ks and 10Ks decently often and need to not kill my ankles). If anyone has any suggestions that would be amazing :)

Nike ZoomX Zegama - double stack Zoom cushioning that are easily the most comfortable trail runners i’ve ever worn and they legit give you a 2" height boost. You’re welcome

Thanks! By any chance dyk what the practical differences r between that and the Juniper Trail 2s? It’s a $100 gap but idk what the differences are

Juniper 2 doesn’t have any cushioning. Its just a midsole made of recycled materials. And i don’t really feel like it has the same aesthetic value that the Zegama does

Ok tiny jogger , just buy the running shoe you want and wear it all day everyday. “I’m not a runner but I run 5k-10k often “ sounds like a runner to me

I haven’t worn them but they seem similar. It’s a neutral gait shoe with a mid level of cushioning. Just like ghost it’s good for shorter runs and walking but probably uses cheaper materials than ghost. It’s on sale which is rad!

Buy a cheaper dedicated running shoe and cheaper casual - you’ll get more life out of the running shoe that way.

This sounds like a recipe for either a sprained ankle or foot problems. Just get 2 pairs of shoes. Sometimes being cheap ends up costing you more later.

If I get two pairs, I still need the non-running shoes to be such that I can be decently active in them though ideally

How much height are you looking for a casual athletic shoe to give you? The Air Max Scorpion Flyknit will add a ton of height for an athletic shoe, but they look kind of ridiculous. Otherwise, Air Max 1 are super comfy and very fashionable. Air Force 1 are also known to add height but I’d go with one of the collab pairs because they are a lot better quality. I have the black Premium Goods pair and they are extremely comfortable and luxury materials. Otherwise they make womens athletic shoes in platform versions like the Jordan 1 elevate for example, I have a few pairs of those.

I don’t, but I’m gonna be wearing these on a daily basis outside of running as well

I wouldn’t recommend that. Having separate running shoes will end up being more economical (not to mention hygienic).

Nah don’t do that. How you gonna wear shoes casually that you sweat in? Don’t be the smell when people are asking what’s that smell.

Also as a runner, all running shoes are ugly. The real ones anyway.

I used to wear huaraches everyday, run 30 miles a week in em for work.

Not the best at running, but that chunky sole was massive & comfy.
