In general, I do not recommend this keyboard. But if you are really interested, but it from Amazon. Never buy it from keychron website, the customer support is horrible

I had keychron K6 before. Overall, the experience is fine. But I did find the bluetooth connection is not stable. Then I want to try Q6 pro as Q series is the flagship and I think it may provide better bluetooth connection. But I am wrong.

I bought Q6 pro from official website because Canada amazon does not have this product yet. After receiving the product, the first impression is heavy. This keyboard is extremely heavy and the key caps is small (not comfortable in typing).

The major problem is the bluetooth connection! I found if I press “FN+F3”, the bluetooth connection will just disconnect. I tried with my laptop and my PC. Both device have this issue. I check QMK/VIA page, the only function biding in this shortcut is windows task view. It should not cut bluetooth connection. Then I followed the factory reset procedure listed in official website. Guess what, after reset, the keyboard Bluetooth does connect to any device! I contacted the customer support and they ship me a new PCB. I replaced the new PCB. The “FN+F3” issue persists, and I know I cannot reset it. I contacted customer support again and they never replied.

I am not sure this is a common problem. But please pay attention to that. Even if the bluetooth is working fine. I still think this keyboard is overpriced. I am just sharing my own experience. If you still want to try keychron product, buy it from trusted seller , like amazon

My K4 was the first mechanical keyboard I’ve used since an old IBM board back in the 90s. I didn’t even realize mechanical keyboards were still a thing before I found this sub.

I don’t think we should be gatekeeping mechanical keyboards by shitting on entry-level, reasonably priced, off the shelf boards — especially quality boards. No idea about the Q6, but I was absolutely blown away by the quality of my K4 compared to the flimsy plastic/membrane boards I’d been using.

Solid aluminum chassis, hot-swappable, good installed switches and caps, great battery life on the bluetooth, useful as well as “flashy” RGB…

For what I paid for it, it might be the best deal ever (imho) on a quality mechanical keyboard. KeyChron doesn’t get everything right, but they get most things right.

No idea about customer service as I’ve never had an issue with mine, but I bought mine refurbished and the thing is just a tank.

I am glad you like the keyboard. I am not saying all keyboard is trash. Like I said, I used their K6 for a long time. Except the unstable bluetooth, it’s a good keyboard overall in this price. I just shared my experience with last purchase.

I disagree with your comment about their customer support.

I bought a Q10 last year and have had good service from their customer service department.

My issue with Keychron is that my keycaps break after a while, and I call Keychron - they’ll ship me another key but at ground DHL to Canada and it takes a month to arrive, but that’s a separate issue.

    the key caps is small

? They’re all pretty much the same size. Not sure what you mean here. What are you comparing it to?

Probably I am used to compact size or low profile keyboard. That’s why I feel full size keys are small (hard to locate). Before Q6 pro, I used keychron K4, logitech MX mechanical, Nuphy Air 75, and Razer deathstalker.

The footprint of all keys is the same. Some may have different sculpting on the top surface I suppose, but they are all 18mm x 18mm on all keyboards.

Fn+f3 disconnects 😂😂😂 u can pair the keyboard with up to three devices, so if u switch to the third connection of course it’s not gonna work💀
