Maybe wait for a sale. Even the 20% at Sephora (starting December 1) would be better than paying full price!

I hear good things about them. I’ve personally never bought anything from that line though.

I don’t have Huda, so can’t comment on quality, but Huda goes on sale so frequently that they are not worth buying at full price. Especially if you don’t have money to spare on the convenience of getting it like a month early. I would suggest waiting it out, especially with all the holiday discounts.

At the very least people are saying there might be a 20% discount at Sephora in 1-2 weeks.

Pretty Grunge is 100% my new favorite. I’d been looking for a cool neutral palette, and it’s PERFECT. And I love Huda’s shadows in general - them and Viseart are the brands In my collection that I use the most often.

I bought it during the Sephora sale, though, because $70 eyeshadow really was not in-budget for me.

I didn’t even see it during the Sephora sale, otherwise I would’ve bought it then. Fudgenutters! And I know right? It’s so hard to find a nice color story like that. I legitimately love it. I haven’t wanted a palette this badly since… ever.

I could have written this comment. Also into the Pretty Grunge. Also love Viseart the most. The first Pretty Grunge I ordered had a glitter that broke and came out of the pan, Sephora sent me a second one free. I wish I could share my extra palette with OP! It definitely is awesome for the sort of lavender/cool neutrals. Orangey neutrals are not it to me for day to day.

I wish you could share the old one with me too! That would be fantastic 🤣🤣 thank you for the thought though, that’s so sweet of you! I’m glad Sephora sent you a new one and didn’t just refund you :D

And so many so-called neutrals are so orange! It’s the reason I never quite got all the way to “love” with Huda’s Rose Quartz palette - the browner shades make a nice color story in the pan, but on my face they pull all the way into Cheetos territory. Which definitely works for some people, but unfortunately I am not one of them.

Funnily enough, my Pretty Grunge arrived intact but with one of the glitters trying like hell to make an escape. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a common issue, I have to imagine that formulating glitter eyeshadow to be workable on the face but still able to maintain structural integrity in the pan is a major challenge.

It sure is. I’ve worked years in the beauty industry. Glitter shadow has no place in a little tiny pan in a palette. It falls apart in shipping and quickly crumbles with use—it can’t survive in there for long. But makeup is sold as much by pretty product shots and swatches on social media as it is by function these days, so it’s there. Because it’s pretty to post and people expect it at this point.

I love Huda and am always shopping sales or buying brand new items on Mercari for a deep discount. For example, I got the Huda Rose Quartz palette for $38 NIB on Mercari after searching and waiting for a cheaper offer. I do the same with Natasha Denona palettes. Definitely the best products out there but I prefer to search for a good deal!

I have her Cool Matte Obsessions palette and really like it. The shades are very easy to work with and pretty pigmented. Mind you, they’re all mattes (obviously lol) so I couldn’t comment on the quality of her shimmers.

Yes. Yes it is. Pretty Grunge is beautiful and effortless to use. If you have the $$, you like the colour story, and would like some new eyeshadow - I highly recommend this palette.

I’m super curious how Huda Beauty palettes compares to Colourpop? I’ve had such great experiences with Colourpop palettes that it’s hard to justify $70 for Huda.

i can’t say for that palette specifically, as i only own the Rose Quartz one but the formulas are fantastic on the one i own! buttery smooth mattes, really striking glitters, and pretty much no fallout, i’d say it makes up for its expensive price with how high quality it is!

For me, yes. I’m obsessed with the palette and the formula is top notch.

That said, I’ve never paid full price for a Huda Palette. I always wait for a sale. :) Also, make sure that you truly love the color story and that the palette will be something you see yourself using. It doesn’t matter how good a product or formula if the color story or the end result doesn’t work for you.

Personally i have the new nudes and mercury retrograde and theyre among my favorite and most used palettes. Very blendable all day lasting for me,and if i needed the kinds of colors in grunge i would buy it.
