That is strange an office would force you to use their accessories. I second what u/UnnervingS said, tell them you’re concerned about long-term damage / hand strain.
Cuz i love those to bits! I can’t really bring my loud clicky keyboard to work and this keyboard does the job to me, feels extremely well when typing, sound is decent and its not loud enough to disturb others.
Yeah my work has them at every station, but I just bring my own. I don’t know who used the station before and don’t want to share a keyboard and mouse like that.
I wish my office let me use my own keyboard at work instead of forcing those awful dell membrane boards…
Tell them it hurts your fingers and you’re concerned about long-term damage.
I am sorry to hear that your workplace is forcing you to use their OEM boards :(
Wait what? Are you not able to have a good ergonomic keybord? What country and at what company do you work at?!
I work in software and it is fairly usual here! If you spend all day tying you should have a switch and keyboard layout you enjoy!

Very common in banks in the Uk
Banks in the US too, unfortunately
Places that are actually security risks I guess would prevent that.
Is it a low-profile laptop-type dell keyboard?

Unfortunately not a low profile, full profile cheap membrane OEM keyboard, also I’m so used to qwerty and they only have the local disposition…
