When you get a new pallet or single how many times do you give a shade a try before you feel like you know you like it or that you probably won’t use it again? I was kinda curious how many chances people usually give a shade.
I give any shadow at LEAST 2-3 tries before I’m done with it. I’ll try a different application style the next time, or a different placement the time after that, or a different makeup aesthetic where it might work better. I’ll usually give these chances a couple days or even a week apart so that I don’t get frustrated. But I will keep it on top of my vanity so it’s easy to reach for and play with until I’m sure how I feel about it.
Yes, this is literally what I would answer! Not giving them a few chances is just wasteful. Sometimes I want to use a shade/palette a certain way and it just doesn’t work out, but then I’ll come back to it later with a different idea and it’ll work! I think it’s important to experiment with any product before making a decision.
