Hey y’all, Can I get a few suggestions for good quality makeup brushes that are budget friendly?! I’m still on the beginner side with makeup, so I don’t really want to spend a bunch on the biggest name brands that have deals like $42 for a 3 pack, OR $12 brushes that look like they came from a kids makeup kit, and won’t get the job done 🌚 Making progress in makeup is actually really annoying due to the little things! 😂 Thank y’all in advance!!

Also, Happy Holidays Everyone :)

I honestly have never felt the need to get expensive makeup brushes, the cheap ones have always done a great job! I use mostly a mix of Real Techniques, EcoTools, ELF, Coastal Scents, and no-name Amazon or TJ Maxx/Marshall’s brushes. I’ve got a few Sephora brand brushes as well that are great, more expensive than the rest of them but not outrageous.

I ordered some elf brushes 2 days ago, and I’m checking out RT as we speak. I just wanted some input from others who actually wear makeup often, and know what to look for in quality. I’ve gotten makeup kits to experiment with (Amazon) and all the brushes have been really soft, too flimsy, and kind of uncontrollable. Like, I could be brushing in one spot and it’ll flatten out and go everywhere else, or the bristles fall off, or get stuck going one direction. I hope this isn’t a me problem and I just exposed myself😅
