Recently fell down the rabbit hole of custom keebs and wanted to get one for myself. Very budget and not exactly crazy but I quite like it. Hopefully I don’t become an addict and keep buying stuff but it’s looking pretty likely right now.

I just put it on the board because i already put the keycap section with the left shift away somewhere and couldnt be bothered getting it.
I love Akko switches so much I keep finding excuses to build new boards just to try out a different switch. Very nice first build, you most definitely will fall into the rabbit hole lmao
Honestly though, akko switches are slept on. Some of the best bang for your buck.
Wait till you realise you can swap the switches out instead of buying a whole new board

Thanks man. I would 100% recommend them. I only bought them because Some other switches i ordered wont be delivered for a while but they sound and feel amazing.
This was me about 6 months ago… bought a cheap 30 dollar board off Amazon and was like “I’m just going to mod this one and get some clone-keycaps, it’ll be fun”. This is where I’m at now…
I have one I just finished not pictured and another on the way. I didn’t even know most vendors sell keycaps at 50% off around Black Friday. Wish I knew! I’m about to explode from FOMO.

Apparently it’s a great time to join the hobby because budget boards today are like on pare with crazy expensive ones several years ago. Definitely go for a neo 65 next. 130ish after shipping.
