As the title says, my under eyes are really pale. I constantly look like I used a concealer that was way too light for my skintone. I feel like it makes me look washed out and a little creepy. Should I just be wearing a darker concealer, or is this something I could maybe fix?

I’m sorry I know you asked about makeup but pale under the eyes is usually caused by anemia in a person of any race or ethnicity. If you go to the doctor to get this checked out, you may not any makeup correction. I used to have very puffy and dark circles as a teenager and that was actually a medical problem so I make this comment with respect.

I’ve been diagnosed with anemia the past and taken steps to manage it with no change to my undereyes. Unfortunately, they are just a weird color that is most likely unrelated to being anemic. There are even baby pics of me where you can see the discoloration.

A lot of people try desperately to have laughter undereyes with powders and concealer. Maybe take another look, it may look very nice. If you want to correct it, I would sweep a little bronzer over my concealer if you use that.

Unfortunately it does not look nice, it makes me look slightly dead, but thank you. I haven’t been able to find a bronzer/eyeshadow shade that works for making my under eyes look normal so far, but I will keep looking.

If you have any hollows in your face where shadows are created naturally, try to get an eyeshadow that is similar in color and perhaps tap a little on your undereyes.

I have this problem too and I just dust a light bronzer under my eyes. I know we’re not “supposed” to add any shadows underneath our eyes according to conventional makeup advice, but it helps me look more like an alive person so that’s what I do. It helps!

I use concealer that matches my foundation. It just makes the under eyes look the same color as the rest of my face.
