Back in 2022 I bought a pair of Skates to replace my regular Hi’s. Since I do everything in my shoes (walking, biking, working etc.) I bought the Skates so that they would hold up better and last me longer. They fit me perfectly but after about a month of wear I wore thru the fabric on the heel and got to the cardboard(?) heel counter and slowly started to destroy my socks. I patched the holes with fabric and I wore thru it again, now with the glue and the cardboard they’re completely unwearable. Is this a known issue with them or did I somehow fuck up? I really don’t want to throw them away since everything except the heel is in perfect condition. Any advice helps.

Are these your first Vans or the first pair of sneakers to wear through the heel fabric? All of my sneakers do it (I guess it’s due to the shape of my foot) and I just buy cheap heel patches/pads and put them in all of my sneakers.
