I wear Sk8-Hi classics in size 7 currently for skateboarding and after breaking in they are a comfy fit. I’m looking to get the “Skate” Sk8-Hi shoes as an upgrade. Should I size up to 7.5 to account for the insole and width in the ball of the foot? I own a classic pair in 7.5 and they feel like they would be too big for skateboarding. Does the Skate version sizes feel the same?

I did also get a pair of the lizzie shoes and they felt too tight in the ball of the foot in size 7.

I’ve been skating in a size 10 sk8-hi for a little while. I bought a new pair of the skate/pro model, also in size 10.

At first I was worried the skate versions were a little too big and that I should’ve sized down. But my feet tend to swell during the day and especially during skating, and so I like a little extra room. Ymmv

I wear a size 7 normally. I have size 7 classic slip ons so when I bought ‘skate’ slip ons I got them in a 7 too. They were sooo tight that I sent them back and got 7.5 instead. I still don’t get on with them, they feel too snug and put pressure on the top of my foot due to the pop Cush.

I also have size 7 classic sk8 hi tops that fit great but I fell in love with the ‘skate’ glow skull sk8 hi tops. I took a chance with them but decided to size up to a 7.5 as I was wary after the slip on debacle. They were also very snug due to the insole but as they are lace ups I could adjust. I don’t regret sizing up my ‘skate’ sk8 hi tops and I think that my regular 7 would have been too tight in the ‘skate’ range. My 7.5s have broken in very nicely, super comfy and are my favourites but still feel tighter than my size 7 classic sk8 hi tops so they don’t feel any bigger really than my classic 7s. I don’t skate these days though, so take it as you will!
