i have a cool undertone, so i stick to cool toned makeup. how would my skin appear if i wore warm colours? how does a warm undertone look when wearing cool colours? i’m curious

Wearing colors outside of your undertone (or color season – color analysis) will make you look washed out, too orange/yellow/pink/grey, sick, enhance flaws, and for makeup, it will look like the makeup is sitting on top of your face instead of looking as if it really is your face. Makeup that matches your features will enhance you, not look like makeup, if that makes sense.
i think this is the best description of it honestly
before i knew my palette (deep autumn), i would try to wear pastels and soft pinks and they would make me look very grey, despite the fact that i’m a tan person i also used to try to wear the classic bright red lipstick, but realized every time i wore it my skin looked terrible, like all i could see were my acne and acne scars and shadows. not even foundation helped. but once i switched to a different shade of red i didn’t have that problem anymore!
i feel like when it comes to clothes you can sometimes get away with wearing colors outside of your season/undertone, depending on the color and how you style it. but with makeup, it just never slides
I used to think I looked awful in red lipstick. Then I found the right shade of red and wow what a difference.
I’ve had times where I convince myself I look good in cool lilac blushes because it was trending. Then I took a good look at the mirror and wiped it off with dignity
LMFAO that’s me with warm tone makeup. TBH trends are the worst and are a waste of money! Definitely really glad I found out my color analysis season and body type so I stop wasting money on makeup, hair, clothes, accessories, etc!
What about if it makes you look orange after a while? Like I think it looks good art first but then a few hours later my foundation makes me look orange.
