I’ve found this Sekonda watch (sold as new) on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sekonda-Quartz-Watch-Man-3734-27-36-mm/dp/B004P06G22/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

While someone else sells it as a vintage used watch on Esty: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1452968178/mens-classic-sekonda-quartz-new-brown?gpla=1&gao=1&

Also, I cannot find ANY type of real information about it online, why?Is a fake watch? They’re selling used watches on Amazon as new, or they’re selling new watches as “vintage” on Etsy?

If someone knows anything about it please let me know, thanks.

Someone is selling new watches as vintage on Etsy. Although the listing title says both ‘new’ and ‘vintage’.

It’s a Sekonda 3734. Modern quartz that retails for about £20. Alloy case, mineral glass crystal, Miyota movement, genuine leather strap.

Sekonda today is basically British Timex. It’s the biggest watch brand in the UK. It has some decent, if unique, heritage. It sells hundreds of models of watches in all sorts of places from discount stores to high street jewellers to airport duty free at prices from £15 to about £100. They’re fine watches, if not all that interesting.

So it’s a real, new watch that’s being upsold on Etsy with some misleading descriptors.

      THANK YOU SO MUCH.

I was thinking to buy it as my first watch (cause bigger brands like casio and timex start offering this types of watches at higher prices, and I wanted something classic and classy under 38mm)

The only thing that was stopping me is what I’ve read on this subreddit about Sekonda, based on their comments, it feels like you will get laughed off if you wear one lol

      What do you think?
