Hello! I have very oily skin and bad acne, for context. I take care of my acne as best I can, but it is unfortunately hormonal/genetic. Even on the good days, though, after a few hours, my foundation (Maybelline FitMe Matte, or Nars Sheer Glow, or Sunset Makeup) ends up pulling apart and kinda letting the oil seep through, if that makes sense. I use moisturizer and primer, so I’m thinking that might be the issue? Along with the oil, it’s too much for the foundation to hold? But idk! Any oily folks, please help!!!
I found my primer was the issue. I was using MAC for years but recently switched over to Supergoop.
Supergoop is sooooo much lighter and dries almost instantly. Huge improvement for me.
However, im stealing the recommendation from this thread. I’m going to try setting powder after my primer and see how it goes. Keep us(me) updated OP
