If I have a conversation about watches (outside of the internet…) it’s usually the Meistersinger which triggers the conversation. Additionally a cool Seiko (turtle or the like) on someone who can afford a more expensive more obvious piece, or something vintage.

Yeah agreed, a Seiko worn by choice by someone with wealth has a much cooler vibe than the ones being worn by a poor because it’s all they can afford.
