Tbh anything but a run of the mill everydayer. Even what seems like generic Rolex wearers can be in to watches. It’s far from an un-nice watch. I was in Italy and saw a French guy in a cafe on the table next to me with a Coke bezel GMT. I struck a convo with him and he said he wanted one for years so bought it in the early 2000’s and hadn’t taken it off since. Now a discontinued model. I’m a big advocate of complimenting someone on their watch and starting a conversation. If they’re into them they’ll chat. If they’re not they won’t. My boss recently had a Batman GMT on and I complimented him, he wasn’t bothered, but he’s a flash guy and a salesman so knew he’d just gone into the shop and picked a Rolex and that’s “the watch” to have. If you see something start a chat. Same with anything really cars, cameras, clothes. It’s either been bought because it’s “the best” or someone knows their shit. All the gear, no idea or connoisseur, up to you.
