I don’t avoid any colour in a palette (unless it would be a palette with red shades, but I don’t have those). But I don’t use a lot of the super dark shades in a palette, I only use a bit of it to smoke a colour out or deepen it up in the corner. But overall I love bright colorful shades as well as bronze, coppery and golden and silver shades! Depends on my mood and the time of the year :) I love the variety.
Interesting question. Did something change for you, in your life? Because I can relate. Since a couple of months I live in our new house and I have my own vanity room now! I was and am so excited, finally enough space to lay out my make up in an organized way and just a dedicated room where I can put on my make up. Before I had a vanity space in my bedroom what was also a workspace besides sleeping… so it was small. I’m so happy with my vanity and every day I’m shopping my stash. But over a month ago I got pretty sick and was not in a good place and I didn’t want to use my vanity room for a couple of weeks… don’t now exactly why but I couldn’t get excited about it like I normally am, I was just feeling so bad. So I did a bit of make up in my bathroom, felt saver at the moment and also I think I didn’t want to “contaminate” my vanity room with all this negativity. I think it sorta make sense?😅 Luckily, I’m now back in my vanity room and can enjoy it again!
Depends on the eyelook. But I only wear eyeshadow in the weekends and because I have time (most weekends) I will do my eyes first, then I’m sure I won’t mess up my base. Especially when I use the shimmers (despite using glitter primer). I’ve also noticed when I do my base AFTER putting on eyeshadow, that my foundation looks a lot better! I think that’s due to the skincare that got time to be really soaked into the skin. When I’m doing an eyelook that needs a lot of blending, it costs me half an hour😅 So that’s a plus if you need another reason to do your eyes first! ;)
