Look up Geervo watches on AliExpress.I have a 5+ yr old “Panerai” of theirs.Still runs like a beast,but I hated it.Felt too chunky.I too went with the 39mm Explorer.

I have a thing for boots as well as watches.I think Zenith is comparable to a boot brand like Jim Green or Thursday Boot Co.Everyone knows Timberland,Carolina,Redwing,Doc Martens etc.But a brand like JG or TBC are brands less known but more appreciated for their quality by people who wear boots often(especially Timberland and Doc Marten,which now use garbage leather and are terribly made but popular because of name).

Marathon makes some excellent bigger size watches that are built like a tank.Take a look at the Marathon GSAR.I have a 42mm Steinhart milsub that is a well built Watch. You could also search”Best(42-44 etc) watch under 1500.00”.That will give you a ton of choices.I’d also check r/WatchExchange eBay etc,as ppl often buy watches they just don’t connect with,and will sell at a good discount.

I got the Steinhart Milsub a month ago and I love it.The finishing is excellent,and has a good movement.Their customer service is excellent,and I had the watch in 3 days to NY from Germany.Buy what you like,nobody pays attention to our watches anyway.👍🏻🍀

Very nice collection!!! I think a nice field watch,like the Bremont Broadsword or Vertex M100 would make a great addition.Can’t go wrong with a GS though.

I’d say you’re very conservative and don’t follow trends.You like basic,proven brands or designs.But you won’t hesitate to buy an offbeat/all white Watch because you like the hour indices or something.Or someone special gave it to you.
