Good move with the titanium.
I refuse to buy any watch that comes with bracelet that isn’t titanium.

Tissot isn’t a high end brand. The movement is made to be cheap to swap out and reliable for the money. https://www.sguscustomerservice.com/
Can your watchmaker full service a SW200-1 for $195?
Check that it’s sapphire and also check the thickness. Some citizens are thicc bois that don’t slider under most cuffs.
Also check out prices on OfficialWatchDeals on Ebay.
No, don’t buy any watch that has in-house movement unless you have an AD relatively close by. Not even having one in country is going to make warranty issues very difficult to resolve.
The AD makes servicing the watch a much easier process.
It’s a good looking watch, I’d expect to buy it for 30% off at the citizen store tho. Maybe a bit more for a black friday sale.
Swatch Group has been putting out bangers these past few years!
They just need to focus more on their high end brands now
People are different and have different opinions in collecting. A watch you like now you may not like a year from now.
Best advice I can tell you is to try on a bunch of watches until you find one that you can’t stop thinking about. Then wait 3+ months. Go try it on again and if you still feel the same a month later, get it.
Also if you’re buying vintage, wait until next year. Prices are continuing to drop.
There are some watch brands you should buy atleaat 1 from an AD because of special privileges. Tudor is not one of them.
You’re into space and retro design. Nerdy science guy. Prob like startrek over star wars. Prob like next generation over the other series
Those are 2 different watches. The Longines is closer to the Rado Golden Horse.
With that being said, if you’re going to be wearing it all day everyday, consider something in Titanium or some other lightweight alloy. I have a bunch of watches I don’t wear to work because the weight adds up
The flagship has a special case back design that’s pretty cool. Not a fan of the gold tho, makes it look dated in a tacky kinda way.
The citizen is beautiful, but needs to be seen in person. I’ve heard complaints about the plastic looking dial, because there is a layer of plastic over the dial.
Ignorant question. How does the watch know what the tide levels are in your part of the world? Tide times change every day
They’re more hype beast type watches
Not so much losing interest, but more that I’ve bought a bunch if watches and I know what I want in a watch now. At some point I’m going to try to trim my collection down to 6 watches.
I saw a cheap-ish watch recently that made me think that I want to buy it and let that be the last watch I buy for the next few years.
I’ll post about it when it comes in.
This is minimally helpful, but that looks a LOT like an apple watch
Quartz is fine, but I’m skeptical about Chinese mechanical movement’s durability (lots of online complaints about soft metals in the movement) and my ability to find a watchmaker that can source a new movement for a swap.
They have really been stepping up their game on the design tho
Total lug to lug + male end link measurement and a height adjustment for tall watches decides if it will fit on your wrist.
But people just want general guidelines and they like to give the circumference measurement of their wrist, so giving the diameter measurement to start looking at is the best you can do without getting into it.

Look at their other ebay listing for Alpina.
You want to stay at or under 36mm for your wrist
Too late, but if you can tell the service center to send it to Germany, do it.
Read the reviews over on WUS. From earlier this year, no updates, and took 8 months to service a watch.
