I literally just bought the automatic version of this watch the other day and have been loving it so far, but I will say that the look might not be for everybody. It’s absolutely high quality, but it is definitely a flashy vintage vibe.
I’m sure he’d love it, but maybe also consider something like a Seiko Cocktail Time or a Hamilton Khaki Field? Everybody loves those.
Just some thoughts. The PRX is a great choice too.
I’ve heard that the claims of the powermatic 80 being disposable are greatly exaggerated. Tissot will service them whenever you need.
