Like 20, I think? I have a number of cheap Casios in various colors that I rarely wear. That’s how I started the hobby in the first place. I also have a few that I keep for sentimental reasons, but don’t wear that often. Those are all sitting in a drawer which is why I don’t know the exact number.

My main rotation basically comes down to five or so. My Oris Big Crown, an Alpinist, a Seiko SRPG37 on any number of straps, and a couple of GShock square models get the vast majority of wear. I do plan to add more, but after buying my Oris I’m definitely switching to quality over quantity going forward and I already know what I want to work toward for the foreseeable future.

I mean, if you’re going to have two, they’re definitely good choices.

I have an orange NATO on my Seiko 5 field watch currently. It’s the right time of year for it.

Blue is probably the dominant, but not by much. I have tried to have a certain amount of variety in my collections just so I don’t get stuck on one thing.

Whaaaat? That’s awesome. I’m familiar with the Patek Celestial with the starfield on the dial, or putting a specific city on a worldtimer, but this thing actually shifts the sky/navy blue ring based on a location.

It’s a multi-way tie given that I have a few colors, but a Casio F108. They’re like $18 dollars at WalMart last I bought one.

The battery life is crazy too. The one I’ve had the longest has to be reaching the 10 year mark and it’s still on the original battery.

Yeah, agreed. There are definitely people who just want a cheap basic watch to tell the time and don’t care (my dad is one of these), but a lot of those people have been converted to smart watches at this point.

I’d question a brand like Citizen or GShock as primarily a style choice vs an enthusiast choice depending on the model because they’re easy to come by, but anything else is probably an enthusiast choice for the watch itself. Most recently I found a guy at work wearing a Farer and, sure enough, he likes watches. He mentioned having a Brew as well.
