Hey there! I can think of 2 things to try to maybe help you with this issue.

If the moisture is from inside, I agree with the other commentator about sock choice. Vans offers a sock with COOLMAX fiber. I wear them on hot days or days where I travel or on vacation walking around a lot. It makes a huge difference. If you maybe sweat more than normal and end up pooling in your shoes, perhaps try carrying an extra pair of socks(doesn’t matter what kind) with you to change into halfway through your day. Gotta keep the inside of your shoes dry to make em last as long as possible. But if you’re just a sweaty person, just own it. 😁 See if a fresh pair of socks will help you stay dry throughout the day. What do you have to lose?

If wetness is external from outside, like from puddles, rain, or just walking through wet areas, you need to invest in a scotchguard. I would buy one online rn as the site is still 40%, so it would be a nice little $6 purchase. Make sure you apply all over the shoe in a fine mist and let them dry about 10-15 mins in-between coats. 4 layers is usually just right, but if you notice excess water getting in, shoot for 5-6 coats. This will make your shoes hydrophobic, and liquid will no longer be able to enter the shoe through the fabric.

Hope either of these things help! Good luck!

The Skate Authentics would be great to try for narrow feet. Skate slip-ons would ve great, too.

100% echoing the lizzie. Yes, they are “skate” targeted, but maaaaan are they comfy. 😭 They are one of the first shoes that are molded based on the skaters foot. In this case, Lizzie Armanto’s foot. The lizzie low is, unfortunately, a slightly different fit as the regular Lizzie(but still good). If you can make it into a store, try on a few different styles to see what fit works best for you. They have a BOGO 50% on footwear in store, and select styles online are 30% off. I’m sure any store would be happy to apply the best deal for you.

Hope you find something that works! :)

  • I have almost too many shoes to alternate, so this happened to me a lot. I simply can’t wear them enough to break them in. However, I found a solution in the last year that saved my poor raw ankles! 😂

All you have to do is find a pair of pliers (doesn’t matter what kind), and gently grip the heel portion of the shoe and press and wiggle around in any direction for a few minutes. Don’t go crazy! Just move around in slow and short movements lol but just any kind of forced movement back there without your heel actually in it will help! I will start in the very center back and then do a few rounds a little over to the left, then repeat to the right of center.

I was pleasantly surprised and was able to wear shoes that I was sure I wouldn’t be able to wear more than once because they just tore me up. They just come too stiff out of the box sometimes.

I hope this works for you! Having to buy band-aids over and over is not a great long-term solution, so I hope this helps!
