Citizen Eco drives are the best quartz watches for value on the market imo.

Yeah I was expecting Casio and timex
Bulova marine star or citizen eco drive
I got into watches again when I was picking a fitness tracker this summer. I didn’t want an Apple Watch, because I’ve always liked watches and hate the Apple Watch design. I got an oura ring instead, then bought these two pieces. Love them. It’s a Breitling Navitimer 43 mm and a Rolex Datejust 41 mm Wimbledon (two tone, jubilee). I have a 7.75” wrist so need 41+ mm dial. I’ve tried watches under that and they look too small.
I’m considering a third piece to rotate with these two. I’m not sure what that one will be.
Get an oura ring and wear the watch you love instead (this is what I do)
I like having a date that is a feature. I don’t like a date at 4:28 pm.
Thanks!
Navitimer plays down a mm or so IMO, the way the dial sits vs. lugs is sort of like an optical illusion. This is a 43 mm on my wrist (7.75") for reference. I probably could have gone with a 46, but I think this fits perfect. So long as lugs aren’t slipping off the end (something I see too much on reddit).
Vintage navitimers are all over eBay in the 5k range.
Skip all of that and save up for a Breitling or Rolex or JLC. You’ve got enough watches already, don’t go for a marginal upgrade. Go for a true luxury piece when you eventually get another one.
Citizen eco drive
Bulova marine star
Lot of cool budget quartz watches
Thanks! I’ve got photos of both in my comments.
10k +/- a few either direction.
My DJ41 was 15.8k after tax.
My eBay navitimer was about 5.5k.
Bindhi Glendale. May have helped that I bought a DJ 31 silver dial / diamond markers for my wife a month ago.
I own a few watches but I only think my Breitling navitimer b01 and Rolex Wimbledon are heirloom pieces.
