For low profile but high build quality, especially for travel, maybe something like the NOMOS Zürich Weltzeit. It’s a bit over your budget pre-owned, but I think it accomplishes a lot of what you’re looking for.

If not that, something tough like an Oris 400 aquis date, or pro pilot x. They have the new 400 movement with a 5 day power reserve.

There’s also the Grand Seiko Sport collection, with a bunch of GMT offerings in this price range.

Pretty sure they don’t even offer this seamaster model in all gold.

Not to mention the helium escape valve is missing.

Hard to beat an all gold casio, it’s so retro cool and eye catching I’ve gotten more compliments on it than my actual gold watches.

But more in line with the 500, probably something from Seiko or Stowa. Maybe a Junghans max bill.

Watches are accessories and now with how fashion is more in the casual realm these days, almost anything is appropriate for an outfit.

You could easily rock a gold dress watch with jeans and a t-shirt. Anything that’s not an apple watch is basically a “dress watch” anyways.

I would say increase your price range by another 500 and get a nomos, great watches, in house movement, Bauhaus style, and very fashionable.

It’s different for everyone, the best advice I could give would be to not spend too much thought on the haves and have nots. In any hobby, luxury ones especially, you can do that all the way up to the millions.

Enjoy what you got and if you find a watch that’s a bit out of reach within reason, make it a goal to save up for. For the most part that expensive watch isn’t going anywhere. For example a submariner can be bought over 5 years by saving up 150 bucks a month.

Half the fun for me is researching a watch, staring at it endlessly, and then when you’re ready to buy being able to find a good deal on it!
