  • I dislike drugstore complexion products. I could never replace my high end ones, in particular the Nars Light Reflecting Foundation, Dr Jart Premium BB Cream with SPF50, and a few concealers like Huda Faux Filter, Natasha Denona, Pat mc grath and the sigma colour corrector.

Another is setting spray. I have tried both high end and drugstore ones but the drugstore ones are not as effective for me. I prefer the UD and Charlotte Tilbury ones, I cannot find any cheaper alternatives.

Natasha Denona lip liners. I like creamy formulas that you sharpen rather than twist up. I have tried many lip liners, both expensive and cheap, and only this and Huda are creamy enough for my taste. Everything else I have tried is too firm for my liking.

I like skin tints with SPF in them and my favourites so far have been the Rare Beauty Tinted Moisturiser, Dr Jart BB cream, Tower 28 and Saie skin tints. Fenty and Nars also do nice ones, they have more coverage.

For lips, natural colour like the Nars American Women shade. Also Charlotte Tilbury’s Coral Kiss.

For blush a light peach can look natural, especially creams. The Tower 28 cream blush in the peach, or Rare Beauty in the light bliss shade and ELF putty blush in turks and Caicos are my favourites. For powder its too faced.

I have used many and my favourites are the thick ones in pots rather than the liquid doffet types. My faves are Becca x Smashbox, Sigma and Bobbi Brown. Charlotte Tilbury is also great but expensive.

I heard the Huda one is also really good. I love the concealer and the corrector seems to be the same formula, so if you prefer a liquid type and there is a shade for you, then can recommend that.

  • I do not think there is a right order, I watch so many makeup youtubers and their orders are all so different. Like people who do eyes first, brows first, complexion first, concealer before or after foundation etc… it seems to vary a lot.

My order is like this: Colour corrector-> concealer-> under eye powder-> eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara -> foundation -> setting powder -> blush (unless cream or liquid, then it goes before powder) -> highlighter -> brow pencil-> lip liner -> lipstick -> setting spray.

If I am not doing eyeshadow, then i do my base first. So foundation-> corrector -> concealer -> powder -> eyeliner and mascara -> lips -> setting spray.
