I think they look great in photos if well applied, but 90% of the time they look obvious and not good in real life. I’m personally not a fan of dramatic, obvious makeup on myself, so for that reason I avoid them.
I will add that when I see someone wearing falsies that are lifting at the inner edge, it’s all I can see and it gives me the heebiejeebies.
I wore makeup every day, whether I was working or not. Then Covid happened and putting on makeup with a mask became mostly pointless. Plus, I was working in a place with sterile rooms where no makeup is (supposed to be, although people did it anyway) allowed.
Eventually, I got so used to seeing myself without makeup that it started feeling weird to see myself with it. I’ve gradually gotten back into wearing it when I go out to eat and such, but it’s no longer the necessity I once thought it was. I still enjoy putting it on—it’s taking it back off that always felt like a chore to me.
