Is 150 miles close? Context: am British so that sounds weekend-trip-away far!

I’m not sure what you mean by moral? But in terms of carbon footprints and the environment, I’d strongly question how a single person making a 300 mile round trip in a car, for the sole purpose of beautifying one individual face, could ever be more ethical or environmentally friendly than buying something locally (esp. within walking distance or using public transpor), and thereby utilising the already-used, already-spent distribution network of large companies selling to millions of makeup wearers.

Glasses wearer here who is also new to makeup. I stand really close to the mirror, then step back, go close again, etc. I switch between hand held and bathroom mirrors. Magnifying mirrors sound great but irl are just confusing / distorting.

Sometimes I take a selfie. A good tip I heard is to buy travel-sized brushes. I prefer things I can blend with my fingers like eyeshadow sticks.
