I am looking for drugstore eyeliner that stays put and does not run. Same with mascara. I am tired of looking like a raccoon, and I don’t really want to pay a lot of $$$ for makeup in my financial savings era!!!
NYX get my vote for drugstore eyeliner. Maybelline Lash Blast Mascara is the BOMB.
I wear the Elf liquid liner literally daily, and it has never failed me. At the end of the day, it always looks good. No cracks, no smudging, no fading. It has a very fine brush, which makes it great for subtle or bold liner.
Kiko Milano’s eyeliners are amazing! I have the black waterproof one that would stay even after a shower or swimming, but it’s very easy to take off with a makeup remover. I also have a turquoise waterproof but I feel like it stains my skin a bit when I take it off.
Cover Girl waterproof mascara in the orange tube. Stays on until you take it off. Flakes a little, very little after 12-18 hours or so. I’m still looking for a Holy Grail eyeliner that stays in my waterline, so I’ll let you know. I’m going to try the NYX one that every one here is recommending. 👍

I like the Colourpop gel liners. They recently reformulated to be waterproof and it comes in great colors for $8.
These are my favorite! On my lid they are smudge proof. On my water line (upper and lower) they smudge a little but less than any other I’ve tried.
I recently purchased Almay All-Day Intense Gel Eyeliner in four different colors: Black, Brown, Gray, and Plum. I find that I need a liner that is nice and smooth to apply, without pulling. On days when I work from the office I apply my make up at around 7:30am and when I remove it at night, 12 or so hours later, my liner looks exactly the same. I apply to my main upper lid but not under or on the water line. Hope this helps. :)
Edited to add mascara. If you want one that won’t budge, try a tubing mascara. I like Bye Bye Panda Eyes by Essence. Lasts all day and through crying…
NYX epic wear. I sleep, cry, sweat, rub my eyes, and that liner doesn’t move!!!
L’Oreal is a good brand. Lancome owns them or the other way around. ELF seems to be a good brand and affordable. Whatever brand you choice, make sure they don’t have horrible chemicals in them. Look for coupons. I am careful what I buy from grocery stores (and like), but if I buy something and just don’t like it, I keep the receipt and return to the store saying I have an allergy to it and get refund. Just don’t do it often, I am sure they have a tracking system.
Epic NYX stays soooo well on my older, oily lids.
I never heard about this one but tried it on a whim and loved it - but the waterproof ultra-fine liquid eyeliner by Physicans Formula! I think it’s about $9-10 and it STAYS ON!!
