Mid-30s, caucasian woman here. I wear subtle eye shadow, concealer around my eyes, foundation on my face, black mascara, and lip gloss.
Sure it’s simple, but when I’m in my bathroom mirror, by face looks very applied with makeup.
A few feet away in a full-body, mirror, though, it looks like I haven’t spent a minute applying it.
What gives?

Yes you nailed the natural daily look! If you want a pop just adjust the color of your eye shade or lip. Start with one and figure out what feels best. Personally since I’m so fair with red hair. Mascara with subtle eye shadow and color on my lips works best.

This sounds like my natural daily look! It depends on your lip gloss colour too, if it’s quite subtle. I think if you want to make it more obvious, you can make it a more bold colour. You can also increase your eyeshadow colouring to shape the eyes or add a subtle eyeliner. Doing your brows can also help with shaping and framing the face. Some people will use bronzer/blush to bring out more colour in the face but depends on your skin tone/type. I personally don’t love adding face products for an everyday look cause it does too much for my face.
