Last week my friend got me a pair of Vans as a gift to match with hers. They’re custom with our names.
The unfortunate part is that, even though they’re in my size according to the tag, they don’t fit at all. So small I can’t even force my feet into them.
I’m trying to decide if I should tell her so she can exchange for the right size, or if that’s not possible, maybe i need to just order a new pair myself wuth the exact same design and embroidery and not tell her so she doesn’t feel bad, haha.
I never buy Vans, so any advice would be appreciated for frequent fans.

Measure the insoles to prove that the shoes size doesn’t match the label
I emailed customer support to return my customs, and they sent me a free shipping label in an hour. Funny b/c their return policy online implies they wouldn’t take customs back lol
Their sizing is so inconsistent it’s a joke. Hopefully they take them back for you.
You get 6 months. Seems like a question for customer service, rather than here
Customs are explicitly not eligible for returns in the returns policy of the UK, US and EU with the exception of being faulty. Stores or CS reps offering returns are doing it entirely at their own discretion.
When you are buying vans do you buy them on your size or smaller
