I’m getting a bit upset I cannot wear liquid lipstick or any lipstick in general. I am a mouth breather and always have been, at the start of my shift I’m normally okay but after lunch I have to take it off because my lips are dry and chapped. I have a ton of lipstick I rotate out of each color every single day. But 10/10 I have to take it off at the end of the night. I’ve bought a lip scrub and a lip oil so hopefully this will help. I also use a lip balm and a lip mask in morning/night routine. I just had to take my lipstick off but luckily it is almost the end of my shift. But can anyone reccommend me a non drying lipstick? I’ve found non even pigmented lipglosses I end up having to take off.

Don’t use lip scrubs. Use oil/balms instead.

Any product that is “lasting” is going to be drying so avoid 12 hr formulas etc. Just re-apply with some balm as your base… I always redid my lip every four hours. I just put balm on and a fresh layer.
    -Balm
    -Blot
    -Re-apply

Dental health reasons you should work on changing whatever causes you to be a mouth breather. It will destroy your teeth in the long run.

I’ve been like that since I was born. I can’t change that. Being a mouth breather was for as long as I can remember just ask my mom lol.

have you tried the colourpop glossy lip stains? i swear by them. they’re more of a gloss/balm feel, but are super pigmented. they’re a stain, so even when it dries, you still have a lip color.

Lip stain might be the way to go, once they dry out you can apply aquaphor or clear gloss on top and still have color

Mac has a lip primer that helps kinda create a barrier between your lipstick and lips which helps them from drying out/makes lipstick last longer. Then you can still use all the lipsticks you have/like!

Have you had a medical investigation into why you breathe through your mouth? It seems like that’s the issue to resolve rather than finding a better lipstick?
