  • You don’t put it in the waterline. It is really bad for the eyes. Not all formulas are waterline safe either. They are actually labeled not to use in that area. Those formulas can irritate the eye even more making it a mess.

Line outside of the lashes. Think of those like a fence you don’t cross. Keeping your makeup out of the waterline will prevent this from happening. It also makes your eyes look bigger to line that way. I like to use a pencil and then go over it with a matching shadow to lock it in. Tiny bit of blending so it looks soft.

If your makeup still gives you runny eyes applied outside of the waterline, you may have developed an allergy unfortunately.

  • The worst thing you can do for your eye is apply eyeliner in the inner waterline. You have little oil pores in there and if the clog, they can die and not come back. Waterproof mascaras and any eye makeup in general can clog up the little eye pores by direct application or fall out.

With eyeshadow : You do have to be cautious and google what you use. Personally I also have sensitive/clinically dry eyes so I stick to one color mono lid so I know if I am reacting to a color shade. With dry eyes you want to try out cream/gel formulas for best results. Personally I use a cream stick for a base for powders just because I prefer the powder formula app. (usually CG or maybelline or a vitamin e stick)

  • I would look into experimenting with a cream cleanser over a foaming one if you are having dry problems. You can also rotate and only use the cream cleanser for when you are really dry.

I am glad you are fine with no eye makeup. It really is best for your vision.

I would try using IT cosmetics CC full coverage moisturizer or foundation with spf 50. It really is a soothing makeup line. They also have various finishes of foundation and powders with spf too. Highly recommend the brushes too.

I hope you find something that works out. Dry issues are such a beast.

  • 1: Systane Complete PF has a nano dropper. The beads it puts out are perfect. It is a very good eyedrop so you usually only need 1 drop and it lasts. I know dry eye is different for everyone but that drop is nice.
With dry eye you probably should not be doing mascara or liner to further cause problems. Get your lashes tinted. Don’t use eyeliner. It is more important to see and save your eyes.

    1. What are you washing with? Have you been to a derm for your dry skin? What type of makeup do you use now that looks caked?

    2. Lip licking = Just stop it. I know that sounds stupid but you need to practice not to lick your lips. Its not healthy for your lips even if you didn’t have lipstick on. It chaps them. I would stick to lighter lip glosses or a tinting balm without much color you can reapply INSTEAD of licking. Every time you want to lick. Apply balm instead.

  • Yes. I personally find elf products do not last on my face. I do like the tatcha primer though which is what the elf putty primer is the dupe for. The mini tatcha is 24$ I would treat yourself to that. A little bit goes a long way vs elf.

Powder can go over oil based or water based makeup so it is pretty versatile.

I have not tried the nyx matte but their stuff usually is pretty decent. Urban Decay all nighter is my favorite. I think it is the dupe version of the nyx. I do like a lot of nyx products but the UD mini is 16$ I usually have to remove it by using oil or a cream cleanser on my face first to loosen it up, then a foaming cleanser.

  • Powder is best. You could also try cheek stains but those don’t work for all. Stains are nice if you don’t want to feel a layer of powder on your face.

Do you use any setting sprays or primers?

I really like Benefits blush line. It stays on for most of the day even when I was working in hot/humid environments. It blends out very naturally too. Good “day look”/everyday blush. They also have minis.

  • MAC vanilla pigment if my favorite.
A little bit goes a long way and you usually have to blend it out with a translucent powder. It really is a good powder to have because it is so versatile. It looks nice to highlight inner corners or a a pop tap on the center of your lip to add some sheen. It looks really interesting over black shadow to make a smudged look. The texture of it is one of my favorite makeup textures.

Not if it was opened. I definitely would toss the Dior because it separated. They make apps you can track your makeup on so you know what you have don’t run out before expires. It can keep you from over buying as well because you can see there are 47 bottles of foundation already at home.
^((lol ~ I think the max I have had at once was 15 but I was testing things out.)**)

The fenty is on sale right now for 25$ - Nars is also having a sale on other things on their site right now. The face oil is discontinued.

  • I like to find a drugstore product I really love and then google the high end version of it. Sort of a reverse dupe search. lol

Sometimes you find it isn’t worth the price.
Sometimes you find it is worth it.

MAC is kinda like the upgraded version of NYX as a line. Maybe start there with makeup stuff. Everyone buys it too so you can usually find a lot of reviews online.

◊ Lancome - Défincils High Definition Mascara ◊

Make sure you prep your lashes right:
    •Do all your makeup.•
Dip a clean spoolie brush in water and brush all excess powder from lashes
•Dry lashes and brush out and up with clean dry spoolie
    •Curl Lashes (optional)
    •Apply Mascara

Sometimes flaking can be from too much powder product fall out on your lashes .

If you don’t clean off your lashes at night with a spoolie, you could also be combating product build up on lashes. That can cause poor application too.

Well you could be allergic to the lanolin in the aquaphor so I would stop using that. You are also NOT suppose to put that around the eye. It can clog the meibomian glands.
Use Occusoft Platinum Plus foam leave on to cleanse and deal with swelling. It is for use around the eye. Then to add moisture put Refresh PM eye gel as a hydrator. It is for inside your eye but is safe and hydrating for the eye area.

Do you use Tide products or perfumed laundry stuff? All tide products set me off. Even the tide free products. It took forever for me to narrow it down so I am mentioning it. ALL is the only one that I can use.

I would not use makeup at all until it heals. Especially do not use things like brushes and sponges because possible bacteria transfer to broken skin will give you a new layer of issues to deal with.
