I’ve noticed that when people talk about “best highlighter” they never specify what kind like I heard wet and wild ones are good but when I tried it it looked very sheer not sparkly just almost dirty idk. I used to love the cover fx but that’s so expensive what do y’all recommend

Colourpop super shock highlighter in Smoke n Whistles or Flexitarian. I am super pale and those show up beautifully and sparkly, no dirty shadowing at all.

I love white highlight. I use physicians formula butter highlight in the shade pearl it’s a creamy powder. Or revolution set the tone for normal powder. Both are a white highlight they don’t dull down my blush and are a beautiful pop of white when the light hits

I love using the Colourpop Super Shock eyeshadows as highlight. They’re very glittery so not for everyone but I love that look personally. Tassel, Ladybird and Frog are my favourites

MAC Soft & Gentle has been my go-to for years! It has just enough shimmer to glisten without being super glittery.

MAC vanilla pigment if my favorite.
A little bit goes a long way and you usually have to blend it out with a translucent powder. It really is a good powder to have because it is so versatile. It looks nice to highlight inner corners or a a pop tap on the center of your lip to add some sheen. It looks really interesting over black shadow to make a smudged look. The texture of it is one of my favorite makeup textures.

I’m also super fair, and the peachy (Precious Petals?) Wet and Wild one that everyone loved a few years back was too dark (what you’re calling dirty) on me. Blossom Glow worked, though it was never my favorite. If you want it intense, apply it with a finger instead of a brush.

If you’re warm toned and trying cool ones, they’ll look dusty. And cool toned with warm shades is usually kind of orangey. Do you know your undertone?
