These ended up being the cheapest shoes I’ve ever bought in my life. This actually happened back in July, about a month after purchasing them for over $100. Been a lifelong fan and still am, but it sucked knowing they really were just trying to cash in on Pride month. Only reason I made this post is because their support finally responded after months of waiting to hear back, just to tell me they won’t let me exchange them. Frustrating but oh well. Corporations gonna corporate.

It really sucks that this has happened to your pair, but I’ve been working in Vans stores for 2 years now and I haven’t noticed a decrease in production quality or an increase in returns for product faults for the Pride collection of either year.

They’re just regular Vans with a pride decal. The de-lamination of the tan rubber from the white outer rubber happens to a lot of my Vans that aren’t pride themed. But yeah it’s annoying when you spend $70+ on a pair of shoes and they fall apart within a year of normal use.

I mean it’s not like they change their manufacturing process for Pride shoes. There was probably just some issue with the materials/construction of this pair. They should’ve let you exchange them though.

I had a pair that were fine for so long the waffle eroded to the point it was flat, this just looks like you got a bad batch

Same exact thing happened to my Pride’s. I feel 100% that the quality in these isn’t the same as the quality of a regular pair. To me, it feels like they rushed these out and didn’t quality check them first. I could be wrong and I HOPE I am, but after seeing lots of people burning through their Pride’s in just a few months or less, I really feel like Vans dropped the ball with their quality when they made these.
